How to Pay
I am very flexible on accepted payment for web development work. My main interests are having the essentials of life for living; namely food, shelter, and the other minimal necessities. Here are some of the other things I can take, provided the value is high enough for me.
Computer Equipment, Electronics
If you have computer equipment, it might work for some payment. The value I place on the equipment depends on how old the equipment is and the technology used. For example, at any point in time, a brand new computer could be purchased using the latest technology or it could use some of the oldest technology still on the market. Regardless, if you purchased from a manufacturer (such as Dell Computers), and you have the original paperwork, then the original price will be known, and therefore, a current value can be calculated. Of course, you would need to have the original pieces including any CDs that accompanied the original purchase. Likewise, if you have other electronics (stereo, video), then it might be something I am willing to take in trade. I estimate the value has dropped 30% the first year, 20% the second, and 10% each year after, so if you paid $1,000 for a computer 4 years ago, I would estimate the value has dropped by $700, making the computer worth $300 today. That is how fast computer equipment loses its value.
Software
Software is also acceptable if you have the original pieces, including any End User License Agreements. Software can get outdated real fast, but depending on what it is, it might still have value to me, especially if it is name brand software, such as Microsoft. I do not take games because I do not play computer games. I will consider simulator software such as Flight Simulators, depending on completeness, condition, and age.
Food
Yes, I even take food at a discounted value of course.
Transportation
I take cars, motorcycles, trucks, but right now, I am looking for a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4.
